Turf Pests Treatments
Sod webworms, Japanese beetles, crickets and grasshoppers are turf pests often found in lawns in Georgia, but grub worms and army worms can cause the most damage.
A Turf Butler maintenance program will eliminate and control these type situations, leaving you with a lawn you can be proud of.
A healthy lawn that is properly maintained will help reduce pest infestations, but cannot completely stop or eliminate pests, especially those coming from neighboring lawns.
Grub Worms
These pests can cause problems to your turf grass. Grubs are not actually a worm type. They begin as a larva from specific beetles in our area. They are most common in the months of April- June. They will eat the roots of the turf grass for their main food source leaving dead brown sections.

Army Worms
The Army worm is a caterpillar of a moth. This moth arrives in Georgia almost every year. Although some years we almost hardly see any activity they are here in some capacity. Some seasons they are extremely bad and appear everywhere and when they are here, they feast on our lawns. They particularly love Bermuda Grass. In the masses they will feast on other turf grasses such as Zoysia and Fescue lawns. Once they form into a caterpillar they eat each blade of grass from the top down, wiping out your lawn in as quick as 24hrs! Most of the time a Bermuda grass can recover with the proper care.
