FAQ

Check out our Q&A section for more information about our services and how to care for your lawn.

We have a 5 Point communications system in place to keep you in the loop during service times. (1) We email you and share with you, the service date. (2) Day of the service we text you when we are on our way to your property. (3) When completed with the service, we text you as well. (4) We leave a service work order at your door. (5) We email you your invoice or workorder for your records.

This all depends on many things, the condition of the yard, the size, and the number of services provided. For an example a standard lawn service of 4,000 sqft, on average, will take 8-13 minutes to complete.

You called us because you wanted a better-looking lawn, we get it. Based on the condition at the time we begin servicing your lawn, you could see results in just a short couple of weeks. However, if your lawn has an abundance of weeds, fungus, thinning, or insect infestation, it could take up to a year, or more, for your lawn to recover and completely respond to our programs. By following our programs, continued service and our recommendations you will have the healthiest and best-looking lawn you deserve.

Weed Control, depending on the condition of your lawn, severe weed growth could cause thin patches or dirt patches once weeds are controlled or removed. At times it could look worse before it gets better. The programs we offer will create benefits to your recovering lawn over time. Some additional services, applications, or treatments may be required. Depending on the situation warm season grass like Bermuda and Zoysia can recover over a season, extensive damage may take longer or may require placing new sod. Cool season grass like Fescue can be managed and or corrected during over seeding time.

Here in North Georgia, we have allot of slopes and hilly areas. Areas that have excessive drainage may promote additional weed growth. Consistent water saturating an area or running through an area during heavy rains will thin out any applications applied to the grass areas potentially creating additional weed growth along with thinning grass. Gutter downspout areas are on the top of the list, also drainage from adjacent properties too. Feel free to contact us we are here to help and offer a solution.

Many of our applications we take into consideration taking advantage of the rain to help save our clients on water. Why, because some of our services may require to be watered in for maximum results. Some of our applications need to dry on the plant, this will take a few minutes in the warmer months or a little longer in other months. Rain is a good thing in these situations and will help promote the service. We all know the weather here in North Georgia is unpredictable, if we feel the weather will impact the quality of our services, we will reschedule the service for another time. It is in our best interest to give you the best service solutions.

Unfortunately, our experience is there is very little that can be done for Moss control without correcting the environment where it grows. Shade, and poor drainage are the two common contributors to Moss. Until all the contributors to Moss growth are corrected it will remain in the areas it’s growing.

Any grass type other than your primary grass we call a “Grassy Weed” of a “Foreign Grass”. Depending on your specific situation our programs may be able to help control the Grassy Weed types and help promote your primary lawn to thrive. Sod installation is expensive, we may have an alternative for you, give us a call. If you have a small area of Grassy Weeds or Foreign Grass, we can help you as a courtesy, during your normal service, however large amounts we will need to charge for this type of service.

In our programs we provide Pre-Emergent applications during certain times of the year to help control weeds seeds from becoming plants. Our primary “prevention” time of the year is between September thru March. These applications help protect against some of the worst weeds we have here in North Georgia, like crabgrass, dallis grass, POA Annua, and so many more! We can help protect against all of these, however sometimes some weeds will break through. If this happens after we applied prevention, simply give us a call we will take care of it.

We have several options for you, not every lawn is the same and sometimes a customized plan may be best for you. We have monthly programs that cover just about everything you would need in a well-rounded lawn care program. We have our standard programs that provide up to 8 services in total within the season. As mentioned, we also can build a custom program specifically for your lawn. Depending on your program we do our best to schedule each service every 4-7 weeks apart. Why 4-7 weeks apart, weather plays a huge role in our scheduling. We have a science behind our programs each service is based on the time of the year, and temperatures.

We target our services to the breeding areas of the Mosquito. With our standard spray service, we apply a liquid solution that adheres to shrubs and trees and other broadleaf where the Mosquito gets it energy from. We review your property during the service for standing water or objects that are holding water. We will dump the water or treat the location to help with growing larvae. Our Standard Spray service is our most popular service, we treat your location every 21-25 days to keep your yard protected from more invading Mosquitos.

We have 3 types of services. Our Standard Spray service, we treat your yard every 21-25 days throughout the season. Our ECO Spray Less Service, we install special canisters on your property providing you with a place to capture breeding Mosquitos and their larvae. We also have our Max Protection, which is a combination of the two, giving to the maximum protection in the event you live in a heavy breeding area. We also have Organic or Synthetic solutions too.

You know, Mosquitos are not always the issue with every client. In fact, we find that 28% of our clients that call us for Mosquito services are not actually dealing with Mosquitos. Sometimes they are dealing with lawn pests that are living in the thatch of the lawn, like biting Flies. Check out our Lawn Treatment Programs, they can help control most insects that thrive in your lawn.

Great question! We have two services that will help just about any situation where aerating is needed.

Liquid Aerating Service $

Highly recommended to add to your program! Using the latest technology in turf science. We apply a high-grade mixture utilizing bio-stimulants with highly oxidizing materials. Combined they are designed to loosen up topsoil and encourage deeper rooting to allow for greater oxygenation of the root system. This program is typically less than your standard Mechanical Core Aerating, not to mention less intrusive and little to “no” yard preparations for you the client! Our Liquid Aerating service gives you 100% turf coverage and there are virtually no access limitations for heavy equipment. This service offers two, yes two, services, one of the Spring and the other in Fall.

Mechanical Core Aeration $$

At first, in some circumstances you may need the help of our heavier equipment to breakdown heavy compacted soil. This service has been around for a long time, and it is still very beneficial. Core Aerating plugs 1-5 inch cores out of the soil freeing up space for the roots while supplying oxygen and nutrients to enter the root systems. We believe in timing of this service not to put too much stress on the turf, maximizing its benefits. Warm season grasses, Zoysia and Bermuda we typically Core Aerate from Spring to early Summer. This service is typically once a year. Cool season grass like Fescue we will aerate during the over seeding season. Some of the draw backs of this service are, machines can’t get everywhere and some areas that do not fit our equipment will not be aerated. Thin sidewalks, also small gates and access points can be an issue as well. Terrain, such as difficult slopes where it is unsafe to operate our equipment can be restraining too. Both services are very effective, give us a call we will help you decide what will best fit your needs.

Ants are not created equal, and different species may need to be controlled differently. Not everything is a Fire Ant here in Georgia. Fire Ants are a big issue here in the Southeast, they can cause allot of pain and suffering to us and our pets. Some people can be seriously impacted by their bite. Depending on your situation, we have some options for you. We have a service that provides up to 11 months of protection. We have peak season monthly services too. Give us a call, let us know your situation we will come up with a plan.

Here in North Georgia the Tick and Flea seasons highest pressure point is March thru Oct. During these times both Ticks and Fleas can multiply quickly and invade not only your yard but make there way into your home. Ticks and Fleas typically begin infesting your yard then get carried into your home by humans and pets. We have a program to treat your yard monthly to help control the population of these pests. Take your yard back so you and your family can play comfortably in your yard.

Yes, we have a great Event Service. Days before your event we provide you with a protective barrier to control many varieties of insect. We spray a barrier onto the broadleaf around the perimeter or the event, trees, shrubs, green broadleaf plants. We then spray the lawn where the event is taking place giving the turf a protective barrier for the bugs that live in the thatch of the grass. Some of the most important insects we control are Mosquito’s, Ants, Biting Flies, Spiders, Scorpions, and so many more. Give us a call we can consult on what will best fit your event.
